Anushka Sharma celebrates her birthday today, May 1st - lets wish her a very happy birthday.
This beauty was born in Ayodhya, UP. Her dad is Colonel Ajay Kumar Sharma, an officer in the Indian Army and mom is Ashima Sharma, a home maker. She has one elder brother who is currently with Merchant Navy.
She spend most of her time in Bangalore. She pursued her education from Army School and Graduated in Arts from the Mount Carmel College. With passion towards career in modeling, she decided to move to Mumbai for opportunities. She started off her modeling career at the Lakme Fashion Week as a model for Wendell Rodricks's Les Vamps Show. And was picked to be the Rodrick's finale model at the spring summer 2007 collection. Later she got opportunity to take part in assignments related to Silk and Shine, Whisper, Nathella Jewelry and Fiat Palio.
Later she was spotted by Film maker Aditya Chopra. He offered her three film contract with Yash Raj Films.
Anushka made her bollywood debut in Chopra's "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" in 2008 opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Acting with SRK is definitely not an easy task for a fresher. However, she managed it to the best and proved that she is talented.
This beautiful was later signed in Band Baaja Baarat in 2010, she was seen in role of an ambitious wedding planner - a romantic comedy film.
Both "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" and "Band Baaja Baarat" earned her Best Actress nomications at the Filmfare.
In the year 2012, she acted in Yash Chopra's "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" which earned her Filmfare Award for the Best Supporting Actress.
In the year 2014, she played the role of a TV Journalist in Rajkumar Hirani's "PK". This movie is the highest grossing Indian Film of all time.
The year 2015 added her another responsibility to her credits. She ventured to produce the thriller NH10.
