Civil Services Examination (Mains) 2014 results were declared last night. This prestigeous examination was held during December 14 - December 20, 2014. Successful candidates will have to undergo Personality Test thats going to commence from Apr 27, 2015.
The results have been declared pending the outcome of a review petition filed in the Supreme Court by the Centre seeking to review its recent verdict that scrapped reservation for Jat community. However there was no update on this issue when the results were declared last night.
Candidates may now visit the UPSC website www.upsc.gov.in to check their results.
Its known fact that the former UPA regime decided to include the Jats in the central list of other backward classes (OBCs) which the Supreme court had set aside on March 17.
This exam is conducted anually by the UPSC to select officers for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) among others. Its conducted in 3 stages. Prelims, Mains followed by Interview.
