A turtle family once decided to go on a picnic. They being naturally slow about things, it took about 3 yrs for them to decide and implement their plan. They left home finally in search of a suitable place. During 2nd year of their journey, they found a place ideal for them.
For about 6 months they cleaned the area, unpacked the picnic basket and made their arrangements. And then they realized that they forgot to carry a salt packet. They all agreed that a picnic without salt would be a disaster. Then they have decided to pick the youngest turtle to accomplish the task of going back to home and bring the salt packet back. The youngest one being the fastest of all the slow moving turtles, accepted for the deal on a condition. And the condition is that no one should eat till he returns back. And all other turtles accepted to it.
Years passed on .. 3 yrs, 5 yrs, then 7th year, finally the oldest turtle couldn't control the hunger and declared that he is going to eat and began unwraping the sandwich. Suddenly the youngest turtle popped out from behind a tree and shouted "See! I knew you wouldnt wait .. I am not going to get salt now"
Moral -
Some of us waste our time waiting for people to live up to our expectation.
