Model and Bollywood actor Milind Soman has made us proud by completing the toughest triathlon in the world 'The Ironman Triathlon' held in Zurich, Switzerland on July 19, 2015. The triathlon is one of the toughest races and consists of 3.8 kms swimming, 180.2 kms cycle ride, 42.2 kms run raced in that order without a break. And the participants are required to complete it in 16 hrs to win the title.
There were total 2000 participants including 7 Indians who took part in this event. Milind Soman who is 50 yrs old, had completed this toughest triathlon in 15 hrs and 19 mins and won the title.
Talking to 'The Indian Express' on phone from Zurich, he said "If you are sufficiently aware and monitor your body’s response at every stage in terms of nutrition and pace, it will all come together. I wanted to gift myself something special in my 50th year and I am glad I could do this"
