Ever wondered what it would look and feel like if your selfies get imprinted on postage stamps ? Imagine yourself writing a letter to one of your friends with a postage stamp having one of your selfies imprinted on it.
Yes, the India Postal Department is now planning to implement this idea in the name of "My Stamp" scheme where people can now get their selfies imprinted on the postage stamps. All you need to do is send your selfies to the postal department and they will get it scanned and convert into a postage stamp. Pics/Selfies can also be clicked by one equipment on the spot.
The sheet of "my stamp" to cost about Rs. 300/- and will contain 12 personalized 5/- postage stamps.
This idea has already been introduced in several countries. Following the same idea, the India Postal Dept launched this scheme officially for the first time during the World Philatelic Exhibition in New Delhi in the year 2011.
