Katy Hindu Oganization has recently celebrated Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam and Pattabhishekam in Katy, Houston TX grandly. Pandits from Bhadrachalam are specially flown in to Katy, Houston to perform this event. We all know that Bhadrachalam is famously known for Sri Rama Navami celebrations.
It is said that Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam and Pattabhishekam are celebrated grandly and these pandits from Bhadrachalam performed the poojas and rituals. Also said that special pearls from Bhadrachalam were used as "Thalambraalu".
1300 telugu people are said to have thronged the event to view the Kalyanam. Everyone dressed in traditional attire and made it more brightful. Such gatherings on foreign land definitely brings back unity.
Katy Hindu Organization has been celebrating this event since 2013 with the blessings of Chinna Jiyyar Swami and with the help of Sugarland Asta Lakshmi Temple.
