Deccan Chronicle Chairman Venkatraami Reddy was arrested by the Delhi Police on May 3rd, 2015. He was arrested basing on a complaint registered in Delhi's Mehrauli police station by one Manish Makkar. Mr Makkar says he was threatened by Venkatraami Reddy and his men related to some bank fraud related cases. Police says that Mr. Makkar has also submitted some CCTV footage which has visuals of Venkatraami Reddy threatening Mr. Makkar, which is considered as proof. Mr. Rami Reddy was booked under IPC sections 146, 323, 452 and 506 and was arrested. Venkatraami reddy's car driver Rakesh is also taken into custody as prime witness.
Venkatraami Reddy was earlier arrested in canara bank cheating case worth 1230 crores and later was released on bail. He is now taken into custody on complaint based on Mr. Makkar
